Samoa 2005

Samoa was our best family holiday. We hired a car and toured around the coast of Upolo and Savaii- the two main islands. We stayed in about 8 different places in 2 weeks. The islands aren’t big so we only travelled an hour or so to get to our next slice of paradise.

Only a 3 hour flight from Auckland and you arrive in a 28 degree celcius beach haven.

Absolutely magical place with beautiful beaches everywhere.

We stayed in fales right on the beach. Okay they were basic but where else can you wake up to the water right outside your balcony without spending a fortune.

Most of the time we spent just enjoying the sunshine, the sea and the clear blue lagoons snorkelling.

Our boys draining the dregs – just pretending!

The fales we stayed at provided dinner and breakfast – probably best not to go into the kitchen.

The boys found a few locals to hang with

There were also some activities in Samoa to keep the boys entertained.

Mattias trying to start a fire the old way
Lars with the turtles
Blow holes on Savaii
Good boy fun – climbing a coconut tree
Not a bad looking coconut
Musclemen
Samoa is paradise

We loved Samoa. At 28 degrees celsius constantly, with balmy nights by the ocean on beautiful sandy beaches – what is there not to love!

Go and enjoy the wonderful Samoan hospitality and surrounds.
